OVERVIEW 

Insurgency has affected food production, causing more harm to the entire populace
including persons with disability (PWD), women and children being the worst
hit. Their plight is further heightened by the discrimination they constantly face
having lost their source of livelihood due to the challenges. Persons with
disability are usually stereotyped leading to violence, GBV, child marriages,
denied access to important meetings within the community. To cope with these
challenges, women, children and persons with disabilities have resorted to
roadside begging, survival sex, stealing and dealing in drugs in search of
peace and acceptance. Most women and girls suffer Sexual Gender Based Violence
silently within the various communities. 

Grass Root Advocacy for Community Empowerment
Initiative (GRACE Initiative) aims to Protect and
promote wellbeing of women, girls, children, and person with disability, ensuring
access to service, leaving no one behind.
